Pricing FAQs

There are three variables which determine the price of a cake:

  • The number of people it will serve (its size)
  • The flavor of the cake and its filling
  • The complexity of the design

The smallest cake that we can draw on is an 8-inch round, serving 10-12 people.

Cutting out a cake to a special shape adds at least an additional $20 to its price because of the extra labor involved.

Experience has taught us that some fillings and frostings work better than others, preventing problems with slippage on certain cake styles.

Choosing certain styles can limit your selection of either cake, filling or frosting flavors.

Ordering Information

Ordering Your Cake

  • Kathy's Kreative Kakes is open Wednesday through Saturday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM-10:00 AM.
  • To ensure a successful outcome of your cake order, submit orders within 7 days of the due date. For special orders (less than 7 days), contact Kathy's at (650)-348-5253 to arrange an agreeable time and date.
  • The price of your cake will range according to the number of people you want to serve, the cake flavor, filling and complexity of the design.
  • There is a charge for delivery determined by distance and amount of set-up (if any).
  • You may also order online or print out a PDF* file and fax it to us at (650) 348-5822.

Payment Methods

  • We require a deposit of half the total amount of your cake at the time it is ordered.
  • We prefer cash but we also accept checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
  • Phone Orders require a credit card number to secure the order.
  • When you pick up a phone order cake, you may pay by credit card, check or cash.
  • Pick up your cake at or anytime after the time specified on your order (until 5:00 PM).
  • There is a $10.00 charge on all cake cancellations and a $20.00 charge on all bounced checks.

Deliveries

  • WE CAN DELIVER FOR A CHARGE - PLEASE INCLUDE REQUEST WHEN PLACING ORDER
  • Our range spans San Jose to San Francisco and the East Bay. You must supply us with a MAP.
  • PLEASE HANDLE YOUR CAKE CAREFULLY! Set it on the floor of your car or in the trunk, NOT ON THE SEAT! Do not leave your cake out on a hot day or it might melt.
  • Once your cake leaves our bakery, it is your responsibility.  Signing your order removes liability from Kathy's Kreative Kakes.  Refunds are given in gift certificates only.
